34. A prepreg for use in making a composite material comprising one or more resin interleaf layers located between layers of electrically conductive fibers, said prepreg comprising:

a conductive fibrous layer comprising a plurality of electrically conductive fibers; a resin layer located on one or both sides of said conductive fibrous layer, said resin layer comprising a polymeric resin and electrically conductive particles, said electrically conductive particles being of a sufficient size and aspect ratio to extend across said interleaf layers to provide a plurality of conductive bridges between said layers of electrically conductive fibers when said composite material is formed; and a top layer comprising metal-coated carbon fibre and a further resin component. - View Dependent Claims (35)
