Abstract

An information display method in a mobile communication terminal. The method includes displaying information on a display unit of the mobile terminal, generating a scrolling start signal, and scrolling the information with a positive acceleration based on the generated scrolling start signal.

Claims

1. A method of controlling a mobile terminal, the method comprising:

displaying a list of a plurality of items on a touch screen of the mobile terminal, wherein the list includes detailed information with respect to one item of the plurality of items and brief information with respect to remaining items of the plurality of items, said one item with the detailed information being displayed in a middle of the remaining items including the brief information; and

scrolling the list of the plurality of items based on a touching operation on the touch screen,

wherein the one item displayed in the middle of the remaining items changes as the list of plurality of items is scrolled, and the detailed information is respectively changed as the one item is changed.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of items includes at least one of a CD (compact disk), an album, and a music file.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the detailed information includes a front cover of the CD or the album corresponding to the one item of the plurality of items.

4. The method of claim 2, wherein the brief information is displayed at an edge of the CD or the album corresponding to the remaining item of the plurality of items.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the scrolling the list includes scrolling the list in gradually increasing scrolling speed.

6. The method of claim 5, further comprising:

controlling the scrolling speed in accordance with at least one of a strength, a moving distance, and a duration of a touch signal through the touch screen.

7. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

stopping the scrolling of the list at an end point corresponding to a scrolling stop signal when the scrolling stop signal is received during scrolling the list, wherein the one item of which the detailed information is displayed corresponds to the end point when the scrolling of the list is stopped.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein the scrolling speed is gradually decreased toward the end point.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein the touch operation is a dragging operation or a flicking operation on the touch screen.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein the touching operation is ca dragging operation on a scroll bar displayed on the touch screen.

11. A mobile terminal, comprising:

a touch screen configured to display a list of a plurality of items, wherein the list includes detailed information with respect to one item of the plurality of items and brief information with respect to remaining items of the plurality of items, said one item with the detailed information being displayed in a middle of the remaining items including the brief information; and

a controller configured to scroll the list of the plurality of items based on a touching operation on the touch screen,

wherein the one item displayed in the middle of the remaining items changes as the list of plurality of items is scrolled, and the detailed information is respectively changed as the one item is changed.

12. The terminal of claim 11, wherein the plurality of items includes at least one of a CD (compact disk), an album, and a music file.

13. The terminal of claim 12, wherein the detailed information includes a front cover of the CD or the album corresponding to the one item of the plurality of items.

14. The terminal of claim 12, wherein the brief information includes a title of the CD or the album corresponding to the remaining items of the plurality of items.

15. The terminal of claim 11, wherein the controller is further configured to scroll the list in gradually increasing scrolling speed when a scrolling start signal is received corresponding to the touching operation.

16. The terminal of claim 15, wherein the controller is further configured to control the scrolling speed in accordance with at least one of a strength, a moving distance, and a duration of a touch signal through the touch screen.

17. The terminal of claim 11, wherein the controller is further configured to stop the scrolling of the list at an end point corresponding to a scrolling stop signal when the scrolling stop signal is received during scrolling the list, and

wherein the one item of which the detailed information is displayed corresponds to the end point when the scrolling of the list is stopped.

18. The terminal of claim 17, wherein the scrolling speed is gradually decreased towards the end point when the scrolling stop signal is received when scrolling the list.

19. The terminal of claim 11, wherein the touching operation is a dragging operation or a flicking operation on the touch device.

20. The terminal of claim 11, wherein the touching operation is a dragging operation on a scroll bar displayed on the touch device.
