BIPHASIC CALCIUM PHOSPHATE CEMENT FOR DRUG DELIVERY
First Claim
Patent Images
1. A settable biphasic composition comprising:
- a plurality of individual calcium phosphate particles wherein the calcium phosphate particles have a portion of the phosphate substituted with silicon;
a liquid capable of supporting calcium phosphate precipitation; and
a bioabsorbable polymer at a concentration that enables tissue ingrowth into the composition upon polymer absorption, wherein the calcium phosphate particles are deposited around the bioabsorbable polymer during curing of the biphasic composition.
