Abstract

For reducing the negative effects of the metabolic syndrome on mammal organisms, it is proposed to use phytoecdysones for diminishing the fat body mass in individuals, notably with a weight excess. Phytoecdysones are advantageously incorporated into a food composition. The phytoecdysones can come from food plants, such as quinoa.

11. Phytoecdysone-based composition for diminishing the abdominal fat body mass in mammals.

12. Composition according to claim 11, for preventing and/or treating the metabolic syndrome in mammals with a weight excess or in obese mammals by diminishing the abdominal fat body mass.

13. Composition according to claim 11, wherein phytoecdysones are supplied in the form of a plant extract enriched with phytoecdysones.

14. Composition according to claim 13, wherein the plant extract comes from quinoa.

15. Composition according to claim 11, wherein the plant extract comprises between 1% and 7% in weight of phytoecdytones.

16. Composition according to claim 15, wherein the plant extract comprises 2% in weight of phytoecdytones.

17. Composition according to claim 11, used as a food or a dietary supplement.

18. Composition according to claim 11, used as a medicinal composition.

19. Composition according to claim 11, wherein phytoecdysones are 20-hydroxyecdysones.

20. Composition according to claim 11, enabling a dosage between 20 mg/day and 30 mg/day of phytoecdysones.

21. Method for diminishing the abdominal fat body mass in mammals, according to which a phytoecdysones-based composition is administered.

22. Method for diminishing the abdominal fat body mass in mammals according to claim 21, wherein the metabolic syndrome in mammals with a weight excess or in obese mammals is prevented and/or treated by diminishing the abdominal fat body mass.

23. Method according to claim 21, wherein phytoecdysones are supplied in the form of a plant extract enriched with phytoecdysones.

24. Method according to claim 23, wherein the plant extract comes from quinoa.

25. Method according to claim 21, wherein the plant extract comprises between 1% and 7% in weight of phytoecdysones.

26. Method according to claim 25, wherein the plant extract comprises 2% in weight of phytoecdysones.

27. Method according to claim 21, wherein the composition is administered in the form of a food or a dietary supplement.

28. Method according to claim 21, wherein the composition is administered in the form of a medicinal composition.

29. Method according to claim 21, wherein phytoecdysones are 20-hydroxyecdysones.

30. Method according to claim 21, wherein the dosage is comprised between 20 mg/day and 30 mg/day of phytoecdysones.

31. Plant extract enriched with phytoecdysones, wherein the plants are selected among quinoa and other food plants rich in phytoecdysones.

32. Plant extract enriched with phytoecdysones according to claim 31, composed of quinoa extract comprising between 1% and 7% in weight of phytoecdysones.

33. Plant extract enriched with phytoecdysones according to claim 32, comprising 2% in weight of phytoecdysones.

34. Composition for mammal diet, characterized in that it comprises a plant extract according to claim 31.

35. Medicinal composition, characterized in that it comprises a plant extract according to claim 31.
