1. An endoscope for imaging of an object in a body cavity by receiving image light on an image sensor, comprising:

  • an elongated tube for entry in said body cavity;

    an objective lens system, incorporated in said elongated tube, for receiving said image light from said object;

    a fiber optic image guide, including a plurality of bundled optical fibers and a distal tip, inserted in said elongated tube, for transmitting said image light focused on said distal tip by said objective lens system;

    a piezoelectric actuator, positioned on a periphery of said distal tip of said fiber optic image guide, for displacing said distal tip periodically, wherein said image sensor detects said image light from said fiber optic image guide for plural times in synchronism with said displacement for forming a synthesized image;

    an anchoring device for anchoring said elongated tube partially on a wall of said body cavity, to stabilize a position of said elongated tube relative to said image light incident thereon.
