1. A fiber distribution frame comprising:

  • (a) a rack extending vertically from a bottom to a top, the rack defining a first side, a second side, a front, and a rear;

    (b) a first vertical cable guide located on the first side of the rack;

    (c) a second vertical cable guide located on the second side of the rack;

    (d) a horizontal passageway positioned on the rack extending between the first and second vertical cable guides;

    (e) a first termination area located on the first side of the rack and a second termination area located on the second side of the rack;

    (f) at least a first termination module positioned at the first termination area, the first termination module comprising;

    a housing defining an interior and an open front;

    a plurality of guides located within the interior of the housing for slideably receiving a plurality of fiber optic modules through the open front of the housing;

    a plurality of fiber optic modules received by the guides, each fiber optic module including a housing having an open front end defined by edges of two major sides of the housing and two minor sides of the housing, each of the major sides defining a plurality of apertures at the open front end of the housing, the housing holding at least one adapter that is configured to receive a fiber optic connector, the adapter including a projection that is received in one of the apertures; and

    a plurality of spring biased ball plungers positioned at the housing, each spring biased ball plunger being configured to exert a retention force on one of the fiber optic modules to retain the fiber optic module in a partially removed position with respect to the housing against a force sufficient to remove the fiber optic connector from the respective adapter.
