Abstract

A mobile communication system for relaying user data includes a plurality of base station apparatus and a core network apparatus. Each of the base station apparatus forms a cell for connecting to a terminal through a wireless link. The core network apparatus can be connected to the base station apparatus. Even when the terminal moves between the base station apparatus while the terminal is in an active mode in which the terminal is communicating, the core network apparatus which is connected to the terminal keeps itself connected to the terminal.

17. A mobile communication system comprising:

a terminal that is able to move;

a base station apparatus that is able to communicate with the terminal by radio;

a plurality of serving user plane apparatuses that are able to serve the terminal via the base station apparatus; and

a management apparatus that manages the plurality of serving user plane apparatuses,

wherein the management apparatus relocates a first serving user plane apparatus which is serving the terminal to a second serving user plane apparatus, when the second serving user plane apparatus is expected to serve the terminal for a longer time.

18. A method of relocating a serving user plane apparatus that serves a terminal, the method comprising:

relocating a first serving user plane apparatus which is serving the terminal to a second serving user plane apparatus, when the second serving user plane apparatus is expected to serve the terminal for a longer time.
