Abstract

A method, computer program, and system for enabling remanence-based advertisement that is not likely to be blocked by adblockers. A method of converting a master image, such as an advertisement or a logo, into a master video, according to an embodiment, includes: dividing the master image into a plurality of sub-images; generating a plurality of video frames defining a master video, the video frames having dimensions of the master image; and inserting the plurality of sub-images into the plurality of video frames, such that a playing of the master video defined by the video frames visually renders the master image.

Claims

1. A method of converting a master image into a master video, the method comprising:

employing a computer system for;

dividing the master image into a plurality of sub-images;

generating a plurality of video frames defining a master video, the video frames having dimensions of the master image; and

inserting the plurality of sub-images into the plurality of video frames, such that a playing of the master video defined by the video frames visually renders the master image.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising, before the inserting of the sub-images in the video frames:

altering at least one of the sub-images.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the altering comprises an operation selected from the group consisting of distorting, greyscaling, reencoding, resizing, noising, discretizing, resampling and scrambling.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the playing of the master video visually renders an image similar to the master image.

The method of claim 1, wherein the master image is divided in a manner such as to minimize a likelihood of having at least one sub-image filtered out by content filters analyzing the master video, the likelihood being estimated by running at least one content filter provided with image recognition capabilities.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the master image captures a given portion of a digital document, and wherein the master video is inserted in the digital document in replacement of the portion of the digital document.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein the given portion of the digital document comprises at least one DOM (Document Object Model) node.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the master image is a given frame of a given video, and wherein sub-images of the given frame are inserted in video frames of the master video which is inserted in the given video.

The method of claim 1, wherein a scripting language code is generated and associated with the master video, and wherein the scripting language code is adapted to cause a user terminal upon which the scripting language code is executed to transmit coordinate information defining a position of a user-controlled cursor and/or to transmit action information defining a clicking action of the user-controlled cursor.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein a sub-image is further associated with a probability of display, and wherein the probability of display is adjusted to maintain the display of the master video above a predefined threshold for image remanence.

11. The method of claim 1, wherein the master image comprises an advertisement or a logo.

12. A computer program comprising instructions stored on a computer readable storage medium for performing a method of converting a master image into a master video when executed by a computer system, the method comprising:

dividing the master image into a plurality of sub-images;

generating a plurality of video frames defining a master video, the video frames having dimensions of the master image; and

inserting the plurality of sub-images into the plurality of video frames, such that a playing of the master video defined by the video frames visually renders the master image.

13. The computer program of claim 12, the method further comprising, before the inserting of the sub-images in the video frames:

altering at least one of the sub-images.

14. The computer program of claim 13, wherein the altering comprises an operation selected from the group consisting of distorting, greyscaling, reencoding, resizing, noising, discretizing, resampling and scrambling.

15. The computer program of claim 12, wherein the playing of the master video visually renders an image similar to the master image.

16. The computer program of claim 12, wherein the master image is divided in a manner such as to minimize a likelihood of having at least one sub-image filtered out by content filters analyzing the master video, the likelihood being estimated by running at least one content filter provided with image recognition capabilities.

17. The computer program of claim 12, wherein the master image captures a given portion of a digital document, and wherein the master video is inserted in the digital document in replacement of the portion of the digital document.

18. The computer program of claim 17, wherein the given portion of the digital document comprises at least one DOM (Document Object Model) node.

19. The computer program of claim 12, wherein the master image is a given frame of a given video, and wherein sub-images of the given frame are inserted in video frames of the master video which is inserted in the given video.

The computer program of claim 12, wherein a scripting language code is generated and associated with the master video, and wherein the scripting language code is adapted to cause a user terminal upon which the scripting language code is executed to transmit coordinate information defining a position of a user-controlled cursor and/or to transmit action information defining a clicking action of the user-controlled cursor.

21. The computer program of claim 12, wherein a sub-image is further associated with a probability of display, and wherein the probability of display is adjusted to maintain the display of the master video above a predefined threshold for image remanence.

22. The computer program of claim 12, wherein the master image comprises an advertisement or a logo.

23. A system for converting a master image into a master video, comprising:

at least one computer system, including;

a system for dividing the master image into a plurality of sub-images;

a system for generating a plurality of video frames defining a master video, the video frames having dimensions of the master image; and

a system for inserting the plurality of sub-images into the plurality of video frames, such that a playing of the master video defined by the video frames visually renders the master image.

24. The system of claim 23, wherein the master image comprises an advertisement or a logo.
