Abstract
An RFID reader control system and method is provided. A protocol for controlling an RFID reader and an RFID reader control unit of a mobile phone is defined. Messages, information, commands, responses, and notification are constructed and transmitted between the RFID reader and the RFID reader control unit.

20. A method for disabling a tag device, the method performed by a reading device and comprising:

receiving, from a mobile processor, a reading command, the reading command instructing the reading device to read entire contents of the tag device, wherein the reading command includes a user data length specifying a size of a data to be read from a user memory bank included in the tag device, transmitting, to the mobile processor, a reading response in response to the received reading command, wherein the reading response includes a unique identifier identifying the tag device uniquely, a value specifying a length of the unique identifier, and a user data having a length corresponding to the user data length, receiving, from the mobile processor, a killing command for disabling the tag device, wherein the killing command comprises the unique identifier, the value specifying the length of the unique identifier, an access password, a kill password; obtaining the received unique identifier based on the received unique identifier length; detecting the tag device to be disabled with the received unique identifier; accessing to the detected tag device with the received access password; and disabling the accessed tag device with the received kill password. - View Dependent Claims (21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26)

27. A reading device for disabling a tag device, comprising:

a first interface unit configured to transmit/receive data to/from a mobile terminal; a second interface unit configured to transmit/receive data to/from the tag device; a processor configured to; receive, from the mobile processor via the first interface unit, a reading command, the reading command instructing the reading device to read entire contents of the tag device, wherein the reading command includes a user data length specifying a size of a data to be read from a user memory bank included in the tag device, transmit, to the mobile processor via the first interface unit, a reading response in response to the received reading command, wherein the reading response includes a unique identifier identifying the tag device uniquely, a value specifying a length of the unique identifier, and a user data having a length corresponding to the user data length, receive, from the mobile processor via the first interface unit, a killing command for disabling the tag device, wherein the killing command comprises the unique identifier, the value specifying the length of the unique identifier, an access password, a kill password, obtain the received unique identifier based on the received unique identifier length, detect the tag device to be disabled with the received unique identifier, access to the detected tag device, via the second interface unit, with the received access password, and disable the accessed tag device with the received kill password. - View Dependent Claims (28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33)
