Abstract

A novel type of therapeutic agent, human mesenchymal stem cells, and a composition containing the same for the treatment of atopic dermatitis is disclosed. A method for the treatment of atopic dermatitis in patient is also disclosed.

8. A method for the treatment of atopic dermatitis in a human patient comprising administering to the human patient a therapeutically effective amount of human mesenchymal stem cells.

11. The method for the treatment of atopic dermatitis in a patient according to claim 8, wherein the human mesenchymal stem cells are of human bone-marrow origin.

12. The method according to claim 11, wherein the human mesenchymal stem cells are intravenously administered to the human patient.

13. The method according to claim 8, wherein the human mesenchymal stem cells are suspended in an injectable aqueous solution.

14. The method according to claim 13, wherein the injectable aqueous solution is Ringer'"'"'s solution.

15. The method according to claim 14, wherein the injectable aqueous solution comprises an acceptable amount of dimethylsulfoxide and human albumin.
