Abstract

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for managing healthcare environments are provided. In embodiments, a first waveform tracing for data received from one or more medical devices for a first individual is displayed. A second waveform tracing for data received from one or more medical devices for a second individual is displayed. In response to the determination to hide the first waveform tracing, only displaying the second waveform tracing.

Claims

1. Computer storage media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon that, when executed, cause a computing device to perform a method of displaying waveform tracings for data received from one or more medical devices, the method comprising:

displaying a first waveform tracing for data received from one or more medical devices for a first individual;

displaying a second waveform tracing for data received from one or more medical devices for a second individual;

in response to user inputs, determining to hide the first waveform tracing;

in response to the determination to hide the first waveform tracing, hiding the first waveform tracing and only displaying second waveform tracing.

2. The media of claim 1, wherein the user input is a selection to hide at least one waveform tracing.

3. The media of claim 1, wherein the user input is a selection to display only the non-hidden.

4. The media of claim 1, wherein the first individual is a maternity patient.

5. The media of claim 4, wherein the second individual is the unborn baby of a maternity patient.

6. The media of claim 1, wherein the first individual is a first unborn baby of a maternity patient.

7. The media of claim 6, wherein the second individual is a second unborn baby of the same maternity patient.

8. The media of claim 7, further comprising:

displaying waveform tracings for the maternity patient.

9. The media of claim 1, further comprising:

displaying additional waveform tracings for the first individual.

10. The media of claim 9, further comprising:

displaying additional waveform tracings for the second individual.

11. Computer storage media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon that, when executed, cause a computing device to perform a method of displaying on a user device alarm-triggering events detected by the medical device based on the location of the user device, the method comprising:

receiving from a medical device patient data which triggers an alarm;

determining the physical location of first and second user display devices, wherein the physical location of the first and second user display devices is independent from the users logged onto the first and second user display devices;

determining the physical location of the first user display device is designated to have the alarm displayed;

determining the physical location of the second user display device is not designated to have the alarm displayed; and

in response to the determinations, displaying the content of the alarm on the first user display device and not the second user display device.

12. The media of claim 11, wherein the patient is a maternity patient and the medical device patient data is for the maternity patient and her unborn baby.

13. The media of claim 12, wherein the first user display device is located at a nurse manager'"'"'s station and the second user display device is located in an operating room.

14. The media of claim 12, wherein the first user display device is located in a patient'"'"'s room and the second user display device is located in an operating room.

15. Computer storage media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon that, when executed, cause a computing device to perform a method of displaying medical annotations for a patient, the method comprising:

receiving from a clinician a first medical annotation for a patient relating to one or more of the patient'"'"'s demographic information, medical condition, or status;

receiving a request not to display the first annotation when annotations are displayed for the patient;

storing the first annotation for the patient and the request to hide the first annotation in the patient'"'"'s electronic medical record;

receiving additional medical annotations for the patient;

storing the additional medical annotations for the patient;

receiving a request from to view medical annotations for the patient;

accessing the stored first annotation and additional annotations for the patient;

determining that the first annotation has been requested not to be displayed; and

in response to the determination, displaying the additional patient annotations but not the first annotation for the patient.

16. The media of claim 15, further comprising:

after displaying the additional patient annotations but not the first annotation for the patient, receiving request from provider to view the first annotation, displaying the first annotation to the requesting provider.

17. The media of claim 15, wherein the patient is a maternity patient in labor and delivery.

18. The media of claim 15, wherein the first annotation contains sensitive information for the patient.

19. The media of claim 18, wherein the sensitive information comprises information about previous pregnancies, patient demographic information and medical history information such as sexually transmitted diseases.

20. The media of claim 17, further comprising:

displaying simultaneously with the additional medical annotations for the patient, one or more waveform tracings for data received from one or more medical devices for the patient.
