Abstract

Methods, computer systems and computer readable media for receiving data from infusion pumps in a healthcare setting and displaying the data on a user device are provided. Centralized clinician views are provided to sign multiple items of infusion data within selected time ranges. Embodiments provide near real-time graphical displays of infusion data to clinicians on separate user devices. In addition, near real-time graphical displays of patient physiologic data is displayed simultaneously to a clinician along with the infusion data.

Claims

1. One or more computer storage media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon, that when executed, perform a method for signing infusion documentation, the method comprising:

receiving a continuous data feed from at least one device operable to assist in treating a patient;

receiving a selection of a time range having multiple items from a user interface containing data from the continuous data feed;

displaying items that need to be signed; and

receiving an indication of signed items.

2. The media of claim 1, wherein receiving a selection of items that need to be signed comprises indicating to the clinician all the items that require review within the selected time range.

3. The media of claim 1, wherein receiving a selection of items that need to be signed comprises presenting the clinician with a single sign box for signing all the items.

4. The media of claim 3, wherein receiving an indication of signed items comprises receiving an indication that the clinician has signed all the items requiring review by signing the single sign box.

5. The media of claim 1, further comprising storing the signed items within an electronic medical record associated with the patient.

6. The media of claim 1, further comprising receiving edits of the data by the clinician.

7. The media of claim of claim 1, further comprising receiving additional data entered by the clinician.

8. The media of claim 1, wherein presenting to a clinician a selection of items that need to be signed comprises presenting a single sign box that hovers next to the selected time range.

9. The media of claim 8, wherein receiving an indication of signed items comprises receiving an indication the clinician has clicked the single sign box.

10. A graphical user interface (GUI) stored on one or more computer-readable media and executable by a computing device, said GUI comprising:

A first display area configured for displaying data from a continuous data feed from at least one device;

A second display area configured for receiving a selection of a time range associated with the data;

A third display area configured for displaying items that need to be signed within the selected time range; and

A fourth display area configured for displaying a single sign box for signing the items.

11. The media of claim 10, wherein the at least one device is an infusion pump, a medical device, or a combination thereof.

12. The media of claim 10, wherein signing the items comprises receiving an indication that the clinician has signed the single sign box.

13. The media of claim 10, further comprising a fifth display area configured for indicating to a clinician if data is signed within a single cell.

14. The media of claim 10, wherein the single sign box hovers next to the selected time range.

15. The media of claim 10, wherein displaying data comprises displaying data entries from the at least one device corresponding to an approximate time associated with a single cell.

16. The media of claim 15, wherein the first display area is further configured for displaying multiple data entries for the single cell.

17. The media of claim 10, wherein the first display is configured to distinguish between signed and unsigned data.

18. A computerized system for signing infusion documentation, the system comprising:

at least one device transmitting data to a server comprising at least one component;

a device information receiving component for receiving a continuous stream of data from the at least one device associated with a patient;

a time range selection component for receiving a selection of a time range associated with the data;

an analyzing component for determining more than one item of data needs to be signed within the selected time range; and

a signing component for displaying a single sign box for signing the more than one item.

19. The system of claim 18, further comprising a user device communication component for displaying the signed items.

20. The system of claim 19, wherein the user device communication component is operable to distinguish between signed and unsigned data.
