Abstract

Systems for refinement of a segmentation of an image using spray-paint markup are disclosed, with methods and processes for making and using the same. Spray-paint markup allows for easy markup of errors in a segmentation. The markup'"'"'s data may be correlated or harmonized with the representation of the segmentation, such that it may be applied to the segmentation. The markup'"'"'s data is utilized to refine the segmentation errors. To assist in the refinement process, the resolutions may be scaled down so as to exert less computation burden during the process.

Claims

1. A method for refinement of a segmentation of an image comprising:

a. acquiring data representing a markup of the segmentation, said acquiring enabled by data representing the segmentation and data representing the image;

b. correlating the data representing the markup with a format, said segmentation correlated with said format; and

c. applying formatted markup data to formatted segmentation data, wherein said applying enables the refinement of the segmentation.

2. A computer system comprising:

a processor; and

a memory, the memory including one or more modules, the one or more modules collectively or individually comprising instructions for carrying out the method of claim 1.

3. A computer program product for use in conjunction with a computer system, the computer program product comprising a computer readable storage medium and a computer program mechanism embedded therein, the computer program mechanism comprising instructions for carrying out the method of claim 1.
