- an extruded poly(vinyl butyral) sheet having a first co-extruded poly(vinyl butyral) skin layer thereon, said first skin layer having a thickness of less than 0. 15 millimeters and containing a performance enhancing agent and said poly(vinyl butyral) sheet being substantially free of said performance enhancing agent.

1. A laminated glass interlayer, comprising:
an extruded poly(vinyl butyral) sheet having a first co-extruded poly(vinyl butyral) skin layer thereon, said first skin layer having a thickness of less than 0. 15 millimeters and containing a performance enhancing agent and said poly(vinyl butyral) sheet being substantially free of said performance enhancing agent. - View Dependent Claims (2, 3, 4)
- 5. The interlayer of claim I further comprising a second poly(vinyl butyral) co-extruded skin layer on the surface of said poly(vinyl butyral) sheet opposite to said first skin layer, and having a thickness of less than 0.15 millimeters, and containing a performance enhancing agent.

8. A method for making a laminated glass interlayer, comprising:

a) extruding a first poly(vinyl butyral) melt to form a poly(vinyl butyral) sheet; and b) co-extruding a second poly(vinyl butyral) melt to form a first skin layer on the surface of said poly(vinyl butyral) sheet, wherein said second melt contains a performance enhancing agent and wherein said first skin layer has a thickness of less than 0.15 millimeters and wherein said first melt is substantially free of said performance enhancing agent. - View Dependent Claims (9, 10, 11, 12, 13)
