Abstract

A mobile terminal and its tag editing method are provided. The tag editing method of a mobile terminal includes operating a camera, displaying a preview image inputted via the camera on a preview screen, entering a tag editing mode from the preview screen, editing tag information in the tag editing mode, capturing an image by the camera after editing the tag information, tagging the edited tag information to the captured image to form a tagged image; and displaying the tagged image

Claims

1. A tag editing method for a mobile terminal, the method comprising:

operating a camera;

displaying a preview image inputted via the camera on a preview screen;

entering a tag editing mode from the preview screen;

editing tag information in the tag editing mode;

capturing an image by the camera after editing the tag information;

tagging the edited tag information to the captured image to form a tagged image; and

displaying the tagged image.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein, in displaying the preview image on the preview screen, information regarding a person in the preview image is obtained through a face recognition function.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the tag information includes at least one of a name of a person, a schedule, an anniversary, a birthday, a location, and a weather condition.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the editing tag information includes:

selecting a tag item from a tag list in the tag editing mode; and

editing tag information of the selected tag item.

5. The method of claim 4, wherein, in editing tag information of the selected tag item, previous tag information of the selected tag item is changed to new tag information inputted via an input unit.

6. The method of claim 4, wherein the editing tag information of the selected tag item includes:

executing a particular function related to the selected tag item;

receiving a search word associated with the executed particular function via the input unit;

searching data for the search word inputted via the input unit; and

inputting the searched data as tag information.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein, in executing the particular function, a phone book function or a world clock function is executed.

8. The method of claim 4, wherein the editing tag information of the selected tag item comprises:

displaying one or more tag information associated with the selected tag item;

selecting one of the displayed one or more tag information; and

changing previous tag information of the selected tag item into the selected tag information.

9. A tag editing method of a mobile terminal, the method comprising:

operating a camera;

capturing an image by the camera;

tagging the captured image to form a tagged image;

receiving a request for tag editing while the tagged image is displayed;

entering a tag editing mode according to the request for tag editing; and

editing a tag of the tagged image in the tag editing mode.

10. The method of claim 9, further including:

transmitting the tagged image to a social network service (SNS) site.

11. The method of claim 10, wherein the transmitting the tagged image includes:

generating a multimedia message to include the tagged image; and

uploading the generated multimedia message to the SNS site.

12. The method of claim 9, wherein the tag of the tagged image includes at least one of a name of a person, a schedule, an anniversary, a birthday, a location, and a weather condition.

13. A mobile terminal comprising:

a camera configured to acquire an image;

a display unit configured to first display a preview image inputted via the camera on a preview screen; and

a controller configured to edit tag information according to a tag editing request for the preview image on the preview screen, to capture the preview image displayed on the preview screen, to insert the edited tag information into the captured image to form a tagged image, and to display the tagged image on the display unit.

14. The mobile terminal of claim 13, wherein the controller is configured to determine whether a tag function has been set from the preview screen, and if the tag function has been set, the controller collects one or more tag information.

15. The mobile terminal of claim 13, wherein the controller is configured to enter a tag editing mode according to the tag editing request, and to display a tag list.

16. The mobile terminal of claim 15, wherein the tag list includes at least one tag field, and when one tag field of the at least one tag fields is selected, the controller edits tag information inserted into the selected tag field.

17. The mobile terminal of claim 16, wherein the mobile terminal includes an input unit and the controller is configured to change previous tag information of the selected tag field into new tag information inputted through the input unit.

The mobile terminal of claim 16, wherein the controller is configured to display one or more tag information related to the selected tag field, and when one of the tag information is selected, the controller changes previous tag information of the selected tag field into the selected tag information.

The mobile terminal of claim 16, wherein the controller is configured to execute a particular function associated with the selected tag field, and when searching is requested when the particular function is executed, the controller is configured to display search results obtained through a searching operation, and when one of the displayed search results is selected, the controller changes previous tag information of the selected tag field into the selected search result.

20. The mobile terminal of claim 19, wherein the particular function is a phone book function or a world clock function.

21. The mobile terminal of claim 13, wherein the controller is configured to acquire a name of a person in the input image through a face recognition function and to display the name as tag information.

22. The mobile terminal of claim 13, wherein, when a particular tag is selected from the preview screen, the controller edits the selected tag information.

23. The mobile terminal of claim 13, wherein the tag information includes at least one of a name of a person, a schedule, an anniversary, a birthday, a location, and a weather condition.
