METHODS FOR MANAGING A MEDICAL EVENT
First Claim
1. A system for managing an event the system comprising:
- i. a computer processor;
ii. a computer memory operatively connected to the processor;
iii. a data storage device comprising a data store, wherein the data storage device and the a data store can be queried by the processor;
iv. a computer readable medium operatively connected to the processor, said medium comprising machine readable program code embodied therein to control and to direct the system to form one or more sets wherein at least one of;
i) the one or more sets, andii) at least one member of any of the one or more sets comprises a basis for managing the event, the forming and the managing comprising the steps ofselecting an event and a reference item in relation to the event, wherein the reference item comprises at least one of i) a reference good;
ii) a reference service and, iii) a reference service provider;
selecting a specification of the reference item;
evaluating the specification of the reference item against a specification of one or more alternatives to the reference item;
determining interchangeability between the reference item and the one or more alternatives to the reference item based on evaluating the specification of the reference item in relation to the specification of the one or more alternatives to the reference,wherein the determining of interchangeability is based on or comprises determining at least one of quasi-fungibility and quasi-anti-fungibility,wherein quasi-fungibility comprises a degree to which at least one of the one or more alternatives to the reference item is interchangeable with the reference item, andwherein quasi-anti-fungibility comprises a degree to which the one or more alternatives to the reference item comprises at least one of a concept, an attribute, a property, and an element anti to at least one of a concept, an attribute, a property, and an element of the reference item;
forming one or more sets based on or comprising the determined interchangeability; and
managing the event based on or comprising at least one of;
i) the one or more sets, andii) at least one member of any of the one or more sets.

A system and method of creating a financial instrument from at least one of a good, service and combination thereof based on quasi-fungibility thereof comprising specifying at least one of a reference good, service and combination thereof; specifying at least one of a reference use, specification and combination thereof of said at least one of a reference good, service and combination thereof; identifying at least one of an alternative good, service and combination thereof analogous to said at least one of a reference good, service and combination thereof and having at least one of a use, specification and combination thereof quasi-fungible to said at least one of a use, specification and combination thereof of said at least one of a reference good, service and combination thereof; assessing the degree of quasi-fungibility of said at least one of an alternative good, service and combination thereof by comparison of said at least one of an alternative good, service and combination thereof to said at least one of a reference good, service and combination thereof and by comparison of said at least one of a use, specification and combination thereof of said at least one of an alternative good, service and combination thereof to said at least one of a use, specification and combination thereof of said at least one of a reference good, service and combination thereof; determining if said degree of quasi-fungibility at least meets a predetermined level of quasi-fungibility; and creating a financial instrument based on said at least one of an alternative good, service and combination thereof if said degree of quasi-fungibility at least meets said predetermined level of quasi-fungibility.
