1. A heterodyne interferometer comprising:

  • a light source configured to generate two light fluxes having frequencies that are different from each other;

    an optical system configured to irradiate at least one of the two light fluxes onto an object, and to emit at least two light fluxes having frequencies that are different from each other through a plurality of interferences that includes an interference between a light flux obtained by the irradiation and another light flux; and

    a signal generator including at least two light-receiving elements configured to respectively perform photoelectric conversions of the at least two light fluxes emitted from the optical system, and configured to generate a first periodic signal and a second periodic signal which have a phase difference from each other, using signals respectively output from the at least two light-receiving elements, the at least two light-receiving elements including a first light-receiving element and a second light-receiving element that respectively output a first signal and a second signal,wherein the signal generator is configured to;

    (i) generate a third signal and a fourth signal of which phases are respectively shifted by 90°

    from phases of the first signal and the second signal,(ii) generate the first periodic signal by adding a signal that is obtained by multiplying the first signal and the second signal to a signal that is obtained by multiplying the third signal and the fourth signal, and(iii) generate the second periodic signal by subtracting a signal that is obtained by multiplying the first signal and the fourth signal from a signal that is obtained by multiplying the second signal and the third signal.
