1. A visualization method for visualizing affinities between a plurality of objects, the method comprising the steps of:

  • forming a representation of a minimum spanning tree wherein said minimum spanning tree connects said plurality of objects based on a pairwise distance between said plurality of objects;

    forming a hierarchical cluster of said plurality of objects wherein said hierarchical cluster comprises a level;

    agglomerating said plurality of objects based on said pairwise distance;

    displaying a view of said representation of said minimum spanning tree in a graphical user interface;

    receiving a user selection of a parameter containing a hierarchical level; and

    identifying, in said view, a target cluster that corresponds to said hierarchical level;

    wherein at least one of the steps is carried out using a computer device so that affinities between said plurality of objects are visualized.
