- a transceiver configured to transmit data to a radio communication device and receive data from the radio communication device using a plurality of component carriers, each component carrier comprising a pre-defined frequency band comprising a plurality of resource elements;
a component carrier determiner configured to determine a subset comprising at least one component carrier of the plurality of component carriers, wherein the at least one component carrier of the subset may be used by the radio communication device for a pre-defined communication mode; and
a message generator configured to generate a message comprising information specifying that the at least one component carrier of the subset may be used by the radio communication device for the pre-defined communication mode.
