Abstract

A system includes one or more remote check deposit locations, and one or more treasury receipt servers to receive check information captured from the one or more remote check deposit locations, and to receive transaction data from an originating depository financial institution (ODFI), the transaction data including an amount of funds available from clearing the captured check information

Claims

1. A system, comprising:

one or more remote check deposit locations; and

one or more treasury receipt servers to receive check information captured from the one or more remote check deposit locations, and to receive transaction data from an originating depository financial institution (ODFI), the transaction data including an amount of funds available from clearing the captured check information.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the captured check information is directly received from the one or more remote check deposit locations.

3. The system of claim 1, wherein the captured check information is received from the ODFI.

4. The system of claim 1 further including a treasury receipt station to forecast cash availability from the captured check information.

5. The system of claim 4, wherein the treasury receipt station allocates the forecasted cash availability to one or more investment portfolio accounts.

6. The system of claim 1 further including an electronic check waiting room to store checks to be claimed.

7. The system of claim 6, wherein the electronic check waiting room includes notifications sent to authorized users to visit the electronic check waiting room to claim the stored checks.

8. The system of claim 1, wherein the one or more treasury receipt servers transmit the captured check information to the ODFI.

9. The system of claim 8, therein the captured check information is transmitted to the ODFI once a day, at designated times of the day, or in near real-time.

10. The system of claim 1 further including a business rules engine to select the ODFI for transmitting the capture check information thereto.

11. A method, comprising:

receiving, via one or more treasury receipt servers, check information captured from one or more remote check deposit locations; and

receiving, via the one or more treasury receipt servers, transaction data from an originating depository financial institution (ODFI), the transaction data including an amount of funds available from clearing the captured check information.

12. The method of claim 11, wherein the captured check information is directly received from the one or more remote check deposit locations.

13. The method of claim 11, wherein the captured check information is received from the ODFI.

14. The method of claim 11 further including the step of forecasting, via a treasury receipt station, cash availability from the captured check information.

15. The method of claim 14 further including the step of allocating, via the treasury receipt station, the forecasted cash availability to one or more investment portfolio accounts.

16. The method of claim 11 further including the step of storing checks in an electronic check waiting room to be claimed.

17. The method of claim 16 further including the step of sending notifications to authorized users to visit the electronic check waiting room to claim the stored checks.

18. The method of claim 11 further including the step of transmitting, via the one or more treasury receipt servers, the captured check information to the ODFI.

19. The method of claim 18, therein the captured check information is transmitted to the ODFI once a day, at designated times of the day, or in near real-time.

20. The system of claim 11 further including the step of selecting, via a business rules engine, the ODFI for transmitting the capture check information thereto.
