1. A method of presenting media content, the method comprising:
- receiving a command to present multiple image cells to a first device of a first user after an alert is sent to a second device associated with the first user;
sending a first view including multiple image cells to the first device of the first user, wherein at least one cell of the multiple image cells includes an image;
automatically collecting a second image from a third party website; and
sending a second view to the first device, the second view including the multiple image cells having the image and including the second image.

The method of claim 1, further comprising sending the alert to the second device associated with the first user to inform the first user that updated media content for at least one second user is available, wherein the alert is an e-mail notification, a pop-up notification, a voicemail message notification, a text message notification, an instant message notification, or any combination thereof.

3. The method of claim 1, further comprising receiving permission of the first user before inserting the second image into one of the multiple image cells of the second view.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the multiple image cells are arranged in date order.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the multiple image cells comprise rows and columns of image cells, and wherein each row is associated with a website location.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the first user and a second user are part of a computer-based social network, and wherein the second image is uploaded to the third party website by the second user.

adding the second image to a second image cell of the multiple image cells; replacing the second image in the second image cell with a new image from the third party website and archiving the second image; and generating the second view including the multiple image cells having the first image and including the new image.

8. The method of claim 1, further comprising storing the image and storing a thumbnail image of the second image and a pointer to the website associated with the second image.

9. The method of claim 1, further comprising accessing a Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feed associated with the website to identify content uploaded by the second user and retrieving a third image from the website in response to identifying the content uploaded by the second user.

10. A method of presenting media content, the method comprising:

sending a first graphical user interface (GUI) from a server to a first device of a first user, the first GUI to receive one or more identifiers of one or more other users of a social network; automatically collecting data related to available media content from a selected third party website of one or more websites; sending an alert from the server to a second device associated with the first user when updated media content is available; and generating, at the server, a second GUI including multiple image cells, wherein at least one cell of the multiple image cells includes an image related to the updated media content.

11. The method of claim 10, further comprising sending the second GUI to the first device.

15. A non-transitory processor-readable medium storing instructions executable by a processor to:
generate a graphical user interface (GUI) to present media content to a display device associated with a first user, the GUI comprising; multiple selectable cells arranged in at least two rows, wherein a first row includes images related to media content of the first user, and wherein each additional row includes images related to media content from a source other than the first user.

The non-transitory processor-readable medium of claim 15, wherein a first selection of a particular selectable cell causes a first display window to display media content associated with the particular selectable cell, and wherein a second selection of the particular selectable cell causes a second display window to display a configuration menu.

17. The non-transitory processor-readable medium of claim 15, wherein the configuration menu comprises one or more selectable menu options to adjust an arrangement of images within the multiple selectable cells.

18. The non-transitory processor-readable medium of claim 17, wherein the configuration menu includes a freeze cell control option to prohibit changes to an image associated with the particular selectable cell.

19. The non-transitory processor-readable medium of claim 17, wherein the first selection comprises a left click operation associated with a pointing device and the second selection comprises a right click associated with the pointing device.

The non-transitory processor-readable medium of claim 15, wherein the multiple selectable cells are arranged in a matrix, wherein a first row of the matrix includes one or more images belonging to the first user, and wherein a second row of the matrix includes one or more images belonging to a second user.
