Abstract

A Closed Subscriber Group (CSG) information processing method, an access control method, and the corresponding system and devices are disclosed herein. The CSG information processing method includes: obtaining modified CSG information of User Equipment (UE); and sending a message that carries the CSG information to the UE. The method and the corresponding system and devices enable the UE to know the change of the stored CSG information. The access control method includes: obtaining modified CSG information; and detaching a UE from an accessed CSG area when discovering that the UE is not allowed to access the accessed CSG area any longer according to the modified CSG information. The access control method and the corresponding system and devices implement access control under a CSG mechanism.

Claims

1. An access control method, comprising:

obtaining modified Closed Subscriber Group (CSG) information; and

detaching User Equipment (UE) from an accessed CSG area when discovering that the UE is not allowed to access the accessed CSG area any longer according to the modified CSG information.

2. The access control method according to claim 1, wherein detaching the UE from the accessed CSG area comprises:

sending, by a mobility management network element or a non-3rd Generation Partnership Project (non-3GPP) gateway (GW) a Detach Request message to the UE to detach the UE

3. The access control method according to claim 1, wherein detaching the UE from the accessed CSG area comprises

receiving a Detach Request message communicated by the UE.

4. The access control method according to claim 1, wherein detaching of the UE from the accessed CSG area comprises:

instructing an access Network Element (NE) to initiate a handover procedure, wherein the access NE initiates the handover procedure to move the UE to a target cell.

5. The access control method according to claim 4, further comprising:

sending a Detach Request message to the UE to detach the UE if information about inability of initiating the handover procedure is received from the access NE, or a handover failure message is received, or a set detaching timer expires.

6. The access control method according to claim 4, further comprising:

instructing, by the access NE, the UE to initiate a detaching procedure to detach the UE.

7. The access control method according to claim 1, wherein detaching the UE from the accessed CSG area comprises:

sending a message to the UE to instruct the UE to initiate location update so that the UE initiates a location update procedure and moves to a target cell.

8. The access control method according to claim 7, further comprising:

sending a Detach Request message to the UE to detach the UE from the accessed accessed CSG area if information about inability of initiating the location update procedure is received, or a set detaching timer expires.

9. The access control method according to claim 7, further comprising:

initiating, by the UE, a detaching procedure to detach the UE when the UE is not allowed to access the accessed CSG area any longer and the UE is unable to select a target cell.

10. A Closed Subscriber Group (CSG) information processing method, comprising:

receiving, by User Equipment (UE) a message, wherein the message carries CSG information of the UE, and the CSG information is obtained by an application server;

updating, by the UE, a stored allowed CSG list according to the CSG information;

when the UE is not allowed to access an accessed CSG area according to the updated allowed CSG list, the method further comprises;

selecting, by the UE, a target cell, and initiating a location update procedure to move to the selected target cell.

11. The CSG information processing method according to claim 10, wherein:

when the UE is not allowed to access an accessed CSG area according to the updated allowed CSG list and the UE is unable to select a target cell, the method further comprises;

initiating, by the UE, a detaching procedure to detach the UE from an accessed mobile communication network.

12. The CSG information processing method according to claim 10, wherein obtaining the CSG information of the UE comprises:

obtaining, by an application server, the CSG information of the UE from;

a background system of an operator, a Home Subscriber Server (HSS), or the background system of the operator via an Over The Air (OTA) server.

13. The CSG information processing method according to claim 10, wherein:

the application server is a server from the group of servers consisting of;

a Short Message Service Center (SMSC) server, a Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) server, an Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) server, and a Multimedia Messaging Service Center (MMSC) server, and the message sent to the UE is respectively a Short Message (SM), a WAP message, an OMA message, or a Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) message.

14. A Network Element (NE) device, comprising:

an information obtaining unit, adapted to obtain modified Closed Subscriber Group (CSG) information; and

a detaching unit, adapted to detach User Equipment (UE) from an accessed CSG area when discovering that the UE is not allowed to access the accessed CSG area any longer according to the modified CSG information.

The Network Element device according to claim 14, wherein the detaching unit is further adapted to instruct an access NE to initiate a handover procedure when discovering that the UE is not allowed to access the accessed CSG area any longer according to the modified CSG information, and the access NE initiates the handover procedure to move the UE to a target cell.

The Network Element device according to claim 14, wherein the detaching unit is further adapted to send a message to the UE to instruct the UE to initiate location update so that the UE initiates a location update procedure and moves to a target cell when discovering that the UE is not allowed to access the accessed CSG area any longer according to the modified CSG information.

17. A User Equipment (UE), comprising:

a receiving module configured to receive a message, wherein the message carries Closed Subscriber Group (CSG) information of the UE, and the CSG information is obtained by an application server; and

an updating module configured to update a stored allowed CSG list according to the CSG information; and

a selecting module configured to select a target cell, and initiate a location update procedure to move to the selected target cell when the UE is not allowed to access an accessed CSG area according to the updated allowed CSG list.

18. The UE according to claim 17, wherein the UE is further adapted to initiate a detaching procedure to detach the UE from an accessed mobile communication network when the UE is not allowed to access the accessed CSG area according to the updated allowed CSG list and the UE is unable to select the target cell.
