- a housing;
a rotary module mounted for rotation in the housing, the rotary module comprising,a rotor;
at least one rocker mounted for pivoting on the rotor, the rocker being operably connected to a first driver to rotate the first driver as the rocker pivots on the rotor;
the first driver being operably connected to a second driver whereby rotation of the first driver causes the first driver to rotate about the second driver;
at least one output member operably connected to the rotor rotating in response to rotation of the first driver about the second driver.

Abstract
A rotary engine has a rotor that has rockers pivoting in chambers. As each rocker pivots, it rotates an outer crankshaft. Each outer crankshaft has a spur gear that engages a stationary ring gear. Spur gear rotation causes the gears and the outer crankshafts to revolve around the ring gear. This cause the rotor to rotate. As the rotor rotates, successive chambers are positioned at the intake, compression, ignition, and exhaust positions. Igniting the fuel in the ignition position pushes the rocker inward to rotate the outer crankshaft associated with that rocker to cause the rotor to rotate.

a housing; a rotary module mounted for rotation in the housing, the rotary module comprising, a rotor; at least one rocker mounted for pivoting on the rotor, the rocker being operably connected to a first driver to rotate the first driver as the rocker pivots on the rotor; the first driver being operably connected to a second driver whereby rotation of the first driver causes the first driver to rotate about the second driver; at least one output member operably connected to the rotor rotating in response to rotation of the first driver about the second driver.

a housing having an inner surface and front and rear enclosures enclosing the inside of the housing; -
a rotor mounted for rotation in the housing, the rotor comprising at least one rocker, each rocker being mounted for pivoting on the rotor between an inside position spaced from the inner surface of the housing and an outside position adjacent the inner surface of the housing; an outer crankshaft on the rotor operably connected to the rocker and rotating in response to rocker pivoting between the inside and outside positions, the outer crankshaft having a first driver rotating with rotation of the outer crankshaft; a second driver operably connected to the housing and engaging the first driver whereby rotation of the outer crankshaft causes the first driver to travel about the second driver causing the rotor to rotate; and a main crankshaft operably connect to the rotor and extending out of the housing, the main crankshaft rotating with the rotor. - View Dependent Claims (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 25)

9. The rotary engine of claim 6 further comprising a spark plug through the housing for creating a spark in the housing for igniting an air-fuel mixture when the chamber containing the air-fuel mixture is positioned such that the spark can ignite the air-fuel mixture.

a housing having a main housing having a generally cylindrical inner surface, a front and rear, a front plate covering the front of the housing and a rear plate covering the rear of the housing; a rotor in the main housing between the front plate and rear plate and mounted for rotation, the rotor having an axis of rotation near the center of the rotor and a periphery around the center of the rotor, the periphery being adjacent the inner surface of the main housing; the rotor comprising a plurality of spaced-apart arms extending outward about the axis of rotation adjacent the periphery, the space between adjacent, spaced-apart arms and the cylindrical inner surface of the housing forming a chamber; a rocker mounted in each chamber, each rocker having a pivot pin at a first end of the rocker, the rocker pivoting about the pivot pin into and out of the chamber, the rocker pivoting toward and away from the inner surface of the main housing whereby the rocker compresses any gas in the chamber when it pivots toward the inner surface of the main housing; an outer crankshaft operably attached to the rocker and mounted between the spaced-apart arms of one arm forming the chamber for the rocker, a link between each outer crankshaft and its rocker, the outer crankshaft rotating with pivoting of the rocker; a drive member rotating in response to rotation of the outer crankshaft and a driven member fixed relative to the housing, the drive member engaging the driven member such that the drive member moves along the driven member, whereby the movement of the drive member along the driven member rotates the rotor. - View Dependent Claims (14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23)

24. A compressor for compressing fluid comprising:

a housing having a main housing having a generally cylindrical inner surface, a front and rear, a front plate covering the front of the housing and a rear plate covering the rear of the housing; a rotor in the main housing between the front plate and rear plate and mounted for rotation, the rotor having an axis of rotation near the center of the rotor and a periphery around the center of the rotor, the periphery being adjacent the inner surface of the main housing; the rotor comprising a plurality of spaced-apart arms and the inside surface of the housing extending outward about the axis of rotation adjacent the periphery, the space between adjacent, spaced-apart arms and the cylindrical inner surface of the housing forming a chamber; a rocker mounted in each chamber, each rocker having a pivot pin at a first end of the rocker, the rocker pivoting about the pivot pin into and out of the chamber, the rocker pivoting toward and away from the inner surface of the main housing whereby the rocker compresses any gas in the chamber when it pivots toward the inner surface of the main housing; an outer crankshaft operably attached to the rocker and mounted between the spaced-apart arms of one arm forming the chamber for the rocker, a link between each outer crankshaft and its rocker, the outer crankshaft rotating with pivoting of the rocker; a drive member rotating in response to rotation of the outer crankshaft and a driven member fixed relative to the housing, the drive member engaging the driven member such that the drive member moves along the driven member, whereby the movement of the drive member along the driven member rotates the rotor; and an outlet through the housing through which compressed fluid flows from compression of a rocker moving toward the inside surface of the housing.
