Abstract

Disclosed is a method of preparing an undifferentiated cell. The method includes contacting a more committed cell with an agent that causes the more committed cell to retrodifferentiate into an undifferentiated cell.

62. An undifferentiated cell, originated from a committed cell, wherein said undifferentiated cell expresses a stem cell antigen.

63. The undifferentiated cell of claim 62, wherein the undifferentiated cell is an embryonic stem cell, a pluripotent stem cell, a lymphoid stem cell, a lymphohaematopoietic progenitor cell, or a myeloid stem cell.

64. The undifferentiated cell of claim 62, wherein the cell is CD34⁺, HLA-DR⁻

, CD38⁻

, CD45low, or a combination thereof.

65. The undifferentiated cell of claim 64, wherein the undifferentiated cell is CD34⁺ and CD38⁻

66. The undifferentiated cell of claim 64, wherein the undifferentiated cell is CD34⁺, CD38⁻

67. The undifferentiated cell of claim 62, wherein the undifferentiated cell is CD34⁻

The undifferentiated cell of claim 62, wherein the committed cell is a T-cell colony-forming cells (CFC-T cells), B-cell colony-forming cells (CFC-B cells), eosinophil colony-forming cells (CFC-Eosin cells), basophil colony-forming cells (CFC-Bas cells), granulocyte/monocyte colony-forming cells (CFC-GM cells), megakaryocyte colony-forming cells (CFC-MEG cells), erythrocyte burst-forming cells (BFC-E cells), erythrocyte colony-forming cells (CFC-E cells), T cells and B cells.

69. The undifferentiated cell of claim 62, wherein the undifferentiated cell is capable of redifferentiation.

70. An undifferentiated cell, originated from a committed cell, wherein said undifferentiated cell is MHC Class I⁺, MHC Class II⁺, or a combination thereof.

71. An undifferentiated cell, originated from a committed cell, expressing a stem cell antigen, wherein the undifferentiated cell is prepared by contacting the committed cell with an agent that operably engages the committed cell, and incubating the committed cell that is engaged by the agent.
