Abstract

This invention relates to the use of a composition comprising a polysaccharide and a botulinum toxin for reducing a skin wrinkle. In some embodiments, the polysaccharide comprises disaccharides. In some embodiments, the average molecular weight of a disaccharide unit of the polysaccharide is between about 345 D and about 1,000 D.

Claims

1. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a starch and a botulinum toxin.

2. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1, wherein the starch is a polysaccharide.

3. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 2, wherein the polysaccharide has an average molecular weight of about 20 kD to about 2,500 kD.

4. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 3, wherein polysaccharide includes a disaccharide unit, the disaccharide unit having an average molecular weight of between about 345 Daltons and about 2,000 Daltons.

5. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1, wherein the botulinum toxin is selected from the group consisting of botulinum toxin types A, B, C₁, D, E, F and G.

6. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 2, wherein the polysaccharide comprises a plurality of linked glucopyranose units.
