Abstract

Methods, apparatuses and systems to receive, via at least one sensor device, data related to an area around the at least one sensor device. A target area around the sensor device to project an interactive display space via a projector is determined based, at least in part, on the data received from the at least one sensor device. The target area will include a projected interactive display space wherein interactions and objects within the projected interactive display space are to be processed via a computing device operatively coupled to the at least one sensor device.

Claims

1. A system comprising:

a sensor device to capture data related to an area around the sensor device;

a computing device operatively coupled to the sensor device to receive the captured data, to determine a target area around the sensor device to project an interactive display space based, at least in part, on the data received from the sensor device, and to process interactions within the projected interactive display space; and

a projector, operatively coupled to the computing device, to project an interactive display space on to the target area.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the sensor device and the projector are included in a housing for the computing device.

3. The system of claim 1, wherein the sensor device and the projector are operatively coupled to the computing device via a network.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein processing of the interactions within the projected interactive display space includes at least one of hand gesture recognition processing

5. The system of claim 4, wherein hand gesture recognition processing includes hand gestures being performed in relation to particular projected graphical interface components.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein processing of the interactions within the projected interactive display space includes object recognition processing.

7. The system of claim 6, wherein object recognition processing includes recognizing manipulations being performed on an object.

8. The system of claim 1, the computing device to:

establish the target area to project the interactive display space with respect to a first user of the computing device;

establish an additional target area to project an additional interactive display space with respect to a second user of the computing device, wherein the additional interactive display space is restricted with respect to the interactive display space; and

cause the projection of the interactive display space onto the target area around the computing device and the additional interactive display space onto the additional target area around the computing device wherein activity within the projected interactive display space and activity within the additional projected interactive display space is processed via the computing device.

9. The system of claim 8, wherein activity to be processed within the additional interactive display space is restricted with respect to the interactive display space.

10. The system of claim 8, wherein the projected content of the additional interactive display space is restricted with respect to the interactive display space.

11. The system of claim 1, the sensor device to further capture data related to an area around the computing device, the computing device to:

retrieve activity data of a user of the computing device;

determine an environmental context of an execution of an application based, at least in part, on the user activity data and the data related to the area around the sensor device, the context to include at least one of

an identity of an environment of the user of the computing device, and

an identity of the user activity; and

alter the execution of the application based, at least in part, on the environmental context of the execution of the application.

12. The system of claim 11, wherein the data related to the area around the computing device includes an at least one of image of the area and audio data.

15. The method of claim 9, wherein the data related to the area around the at least one sensor device includes an image of the area around the at least one sensor device.

16. The method of claim 9, wherein the data related to the area around the at least one sensor device includes audio data.

17. The method of claim 9, wherein the computing device includes a display and the interactive display space is projected in tandem with the display of the computing device.

13. A method comprising:

receiving, via a sensor device, data related to an area around the sensor device;

determining a target area around the sensor device to project an interactive display space via a projector based, at least in part, on the data received from the sensor device; and

projecting the interactive display space onto the target area around the sensor device, wherein interactions within the projected interactive display space are to be processed via a computing device operatively coupled to the sensor device.

14. The method of claim 13, wherein the computing device includes a display and the interactive display space is projected in tandem with the display of the computing device.

18. An article of manufacture comprising a computer-readable storage medium having instructions stored thereon to cause a processor to perform operations including:

determining a target area around the sensor device to project an interactive display space via a projector based, at least in part, on data received from a sensor device, the data related to an area around the sensor device;

causing the interactive display space to be projected onto the target area around the sensor device; and

processing interactions within the projected interactive display space.

19. The article of manufacture of claim 18, wherein processing interactions within the projected interactive display space includes at least one of hand gesture recognition processing, object recognition processing, and processing to recognize manipulations being performed on an object.

20. The article of manufacture of claim 18, wherein the data related to the area around the at least one sensor device includes an image of the area around the at least one sensor device.

21. The article of manufacture of claim 18, wherein the data related to the area around the at least one sensor device includes audio data.

22. The article of manufacture of claim 18, wherein the data related to the area around the at least one sensor device includes accelerometer data.

23. The article of manufacture of claim 18, wherein the computer-readable storage medium further includes instructions stored thereon to cause the processor to perform operations including causing the interactive display space to be projected in tandem with a display of a computing device.
