An interference cancellation system for improving isolation between transmitters and receivers in wireless communications systems comprisingan input signal suitable for wireless transmission,at least one power amplifier for receiving the input signal and providing an amplified output,feedback sensor for providing a feedback signal representative of at least an interference characteristic of the amplified output,cancellation logic for receiving the feedback signal and generating an anti-phase signal corresponding to the interference characteristic of the amplified output,a received signal including the interference characteristic, andcombiner for combining the anti-phase signal with the received signal for removing the interference characteristic from the received signal.

Abstract
A remote radio head unit (RRU) system for multiple operating frequency bands, multi-channels, driven by a single or more wide band power amplifiers. More specifically, the present invention enables multiple-bands RRU to use fewer power amplifers in order to reduce size and cost of the multi-band RRU. The present invention is based on the method of using duplexers and/or interference cancellation system technique to increase the isolation between the transmitter signal and receiver signal of the RRU.
