1. ) A method of passing a pipe from a first vessel to a second vessel, wherein the second vessel comprises an arm assembly which comprises:

  • an arm platform at one end of the second vessel affixed to a lower end of a transom of the second vessel;

    a folding bar affixed to an upper end of the transom of the second vessel and a second area of the arm platform;

    a pair of arm transverse beams removeably affixed to a distal end of the arm platform, across a first axis;

    a pair of skidding beams removeably and skiddably affixed to the arm transverse beams; and

    a clamp affixed to a distal end of the skidding beams, wherein the clamp has a gate, the method comprising;

    moving the second vessel within at least about 10 meters from the first vessel;

    pinning jack-up legs of the second vessel;

    aligning the skidding beams of the arm assembly with the pipe;

    moving the skidding beams until the gate of the clamp of the skidding beams has passed the pipe and the pipe is disposed within the clamp;

    closing the gate to encompass the pipe;

    releasing the pipe from the first vessel; and

    jacking-up the legs of the second vessel.
