Abstract

A detected information correction apparatus configured to correct detected information, includes: a usage status detecting configured to detect status information on the basis of detected information detected by one or more sensors, the status information indicating how a portable apparatus is being used; a correction data acquiring configured to acquire correction data at specific timing intervals, the correction data being used to correct the detected information; and a detected information correcting configured to correct the detected information with the correction data.

Claims

1. A detected information correction apparatus configured to correct detected information for a portable apparatus having one or more sensors, comprising:

a usage status detector configured to detect gesture status information of the portable apparatus as detected by the one or more sensors;

a correction data acquirer configured to acquire correction data at specific timing intervals to correct the detected gesture status information; and

a detected information corrector configured to correct the detected gesture status information with the correction data.

2. The detected information correction apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising:

a grip position detector configured to detect grip position of one or more hands of a user;

wherein

the detected gesture status information includes an orientation of the portable apparatus, and

the correction data acquirer acquires correction data according to an orientation of the portable apparatus and grip position of the one or more hands of the user.

The detected information correction apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the detected gesture status information includes a first, a second, and a third angle, each being an angle between a surface and a first axis in a width direction of the portable apparatus, a second axis in a height direction of the portable apparatus, and a third axis in a depth direction of the portable apparatus, respectively,

the detected gesture status information further includes a first, a second, and a third acceleration, each being an acceleration along the first axis, the second axis, and the third axis, respectively, and

the acquired correction data includes a first, a second, and a third coefficient for multiplication with the first, second, and third acceleration, respectively, wherein each coefficient is a respective cosine of the detected first, second, and third angles.

4. The detected information correction apparatus according to claim 1, wherein

the detected gesture status information indicates whether shake is being produced in the portable apparatus,

the acquired correction data includes correction data for the shake, and

the detected information corrector removes components of the shake expressed by the correction data for the shake from a wave that represents a variation in the detected gesture status information.

5. The detected information correction apparatus according to claim 2, wherein

the detected gesture status information additionally indicates whether shake is being produced in the portable apparatus, and

the correction data acquirer acquires correction data at timing intervals when the shake is detected.

The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the detected gesture status information includes variations in movement of the portable apparatus and the correction data corrects a variation in movement along a determined axis of the portable apparatus expected to include a larger movement variation.

The apparatus according to claim 9, wherein the axis is determined according to one or more factors of misrecognition, recognition, user profile, portable apparatus location, shake of the portable apparatus, or any combinations thereof, for determining a movement of the portable apparatus based upon the detected gesture status information.

6. A portable apparatus provided with one or more sensors, comprising:

a usage status detector configured to detect gesture status information of the portable apparatus as detected by the one or more sensors;

a correction data acquirer configured to acquire correction data to correct the detected gesture status information;

a detected information corrector configured to correct the detected gesture status information with the correction data; and

a command determiner configured to determine commands issued to the portable apparatus based upon the corrected gesture status information.

7. The portable apparatus according to claim 6, wherein

when a command determined by the command determiner differs from an intended command, the correction data acquirer acquires new correction data.

8. A detected information correction method executed by a processor and configured to correct detected information for a portable apparatus, comprising:

detecting gestures status information of the portable apparatus based upon one or more sensors of the portable apparatus;

acquiring correction data at specific timing intervals to correct the detected motion status information; and

correcting the detected motion status information according to most recent correction data.
