- (a) a nucleotide sequence encoding a polypeptide having LEC1-related transcription factor activity, wherein the amino acid sequence of the polypeptide and the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO;
2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28 or 30 have at least 90% sequence identity based on the Clustal alignment method, or(b) the complement of the nucleotide sequence, wherein the complement and the nucleotide sequence contain the same number of nucleotides and are 100% complementary.

Abstract
This invention relates to an isolated nucleic acid fragment encoding a transcription factor. The invention also relates to the construction of a chimeric gene encoding all or a portion of the transcription factor, in sense or antisense orientation, wherein expression of the chimeric gene results in production of altered levels of accumulated oil in a transformed host cell.

(a) a second nucleotide sequence, wherein the second nucleotide sequence encodes a polypeptide having Lec1-related transcription factor activity, wherein the amino acid sequence of the polypeptide and the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO;
2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28 or 30 have at least 90% sequence identity based on the Clustal alignment method, or(b) the complement of the second nucleotide sequence, wherein the complement and the second nucleotide sequence contain the came number of nucleotides and are 100% complementary.
