1. A method implemented in a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) operating in connected mode, the method comprising:
- detecting closed subscriber group (CSG) proximity based on an autonomous search function;
generating a CSG whitelist; and
signaling a proximity indication to a network, wherein the proximity indication includes at least one priority of at least one allowed neighbor CSG cell and the signaling indicates that the WTRU is entering or leaving the proximity of at least one cell that has a CSG ID included in the CSG whitelist.
