- receiving a request, from a user device, to determine optimal starting times for a trip;
obtaining a destination address and a starting address of the trip from the request;
identifying a first route based on the destination address and the starting address;
determining the optimal starting times based on different allowable starting times and travel data, the determined optimal starting times providing for a shortest estimated travel time on the first route; and
sending a description of the first route and the determined optimal starting time to the user device.

In addition, the device may obtain a destination address and a starting address of the trip from the request, identify a first route based on the destination address and the starting address, and determine the optimal starting times based on different allowable starting times and travel data, the determined optimal starting times providing for a shortest estimated travel time on the first route. Further, the device may send a description of the first route and the determined optimal starting time to the user device.

a processor configured to; receive, from a user device, a request to determine optimal starting times for a trip; identify a route that is associated with the trip; estimate, based on travel data and different allowable starting times specified in the request, a shortest travel time; and send a description of a starting time that is associated with the shortest travel time to the user device.
