- displaying in a user-interface movable medication containers for medications in a list of medications for a patient, each medication container having a corresponding medication category;
displaying a receptacle for organizing the medications, the receptacle having multiple layers having corresponding medication categories in a first dimension, each layer configured to receive one or more medication containers; and
receiving a first medication container from the movable medication containers that is dragged into a layer in the first dimension having a corresponding medication category that matches the medication category of the first medication container.

25. A computer implemented method comprising:

receiving medication data for a patient from multiple sources; consolidating identical medications in the medical data from multiple sources to generate a consolidated list of medications for the patient; presenting the consolidated list to the patient in a user-interface, the consolidated list comprising graphical representations of medication containers, including a first container for a first drug and a second container for a second drug, with medication data on the containers corresponding to the prescription for the respective container; determining a problem in the medication list between a first drug and the second drug on the list; presenting a user selectable depiction of the first drug container and the second drug container in physical conflict until a resolution of the problem is received; transmitting, in response to user input in the form of a selection of the depiction, the identified problem on the medication list to a heath care professional for resolution; receiving a resolution of the problem from the health care professional; and presenting a graphical depiction of a health care professional resolving the conflicting first drug container and a the conflicting second drug container.

26. A computer implemented method for managing patient medication data comprising:

receiving medication data for a patient from multiple sources; reconciling the medication data from multiple sources to generate a reconciled list of medications for the patient; presenting the reconciled list comprising graphical representations of medication containers, including a first container for a first medication and a second container for a second medication, with medication data on the containers corresponding to the prescription for the respective container; identifying a potential cost savings change for the first medication on the list; displaying the first container dressed in expensive apparel to indicate a potential cost savings for the first medication; receiving a selection of the potential cost savings for the first medication from the patient; in response to receiving the selection, transmitting via a network a request for the cost savings change to a health-care professional; and receiving an indication of an updated prescription according to the cost savings; and in response to receiving the selection, changing the first medication container dressed in expensive apparel to the first medication container dressed in cost savings apparel.
