1. A method comprising:

  • sensing a bladder condition via a sensor carried on a distal end of a lead, the sensor positioned within an interior of the bladder, the lead having an electrical conductor therein, and the lead extending from the interior of the bladder to a sensing device implanted outside of the bladder via penetration of a wall of the bladder; and

    delivering stimulation therapy for urinary incontinence from an implantable stimulator based on the sensed bladder condition.
