Abstract

In one embodiment, there is provided an information processing apparatus. The apparatus includes: a display on which a window is displayed; a touch screen on the display; a display controller configured to display an operation screen on the display such that the operation screen is superposed on the window, wherein the operation screen generates an operation command for operating the window, based on an input operation through the touch screen; and an operation execution module configured to execute the operation command for operating the window.

Claims

1. An information processing apparatus comprising:

a display comprising a touch screen and configured to display a window;

a display controller configured to display a window operation screen on the window on the display, the window operation screen being configured to generate a window operation command for operating the window, based on an input through the touch screen; and

a window operation execution module configured to execute the window operation command for operating the window.

2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the size of the window operation screen is larger than those of icons displayed in the window.

3. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the window operation screen is semitransparent.

4. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the window operation screen comprises a plurality of regions associated with a plurality of window operation commands.

5. The apparatus of claim 1,

wherein the window operation screen is configured to generate the window operation command for resizing the window, and

wherein the window operation execution module is configured to send the window operation command for resizing the window, to an application starting up the window.

6. The apparatus of claim 1,

wherein the window operation screen is configured to generate the window operation command for terminating an application starting up the window, and

wherein the window operation execution module is configured to send the window operation command to the application.

7. The apparatus of claim 1,

wherein the window operation screen is configured to generate the window operation command for displaying a menu screen indicating either resizing the window or terminating an application starting up the window,

wherein the display controller is configured to display the menu screen when the window operation screen generates the window operation command, based on the input through the touch screen, and

wherein the window operation execution module is configured to send an window operation command to the application, based on a selected item from the menu screen.

8. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the display controller is configured to hide the window operation screen after displaying the window operation screen for a given time.

9. The apparatus of claim 8, wherein the display controller is configured to hide the window operation screen before displaying the window operation screen for the given time when receiving an window operation command for stopping the display of the window operation screen while the window operation screen is displayed.

10. An image display method, comprising:

receiving an input through a touch screen either on or in a display;

displaying a window operation screen on a window on the display, the window operation screen configured to generate a window operation command for operating the window, based on the input; and

executing the window operation command for operating the window.

11. The method of claim 10, wherein the size of the window operation screen is larger than those of icons displayed in the window.

12. The method of claim 10, wherein the window operation screen is semitransparent.

13. The method of claim 10, wherein the window operation screen comprises a plurality of regions associated with a plurality of window operation commands.

14. The method of claim 10,

wherein the window operation screen is configured to generate the window operation command for resizing the window, and

wherein executing the window operation command comprises sending the window operation command for resizing the window, to an application starting up the window.

15. The method of claim 10,

wherein the window operation screen is configured to generate the window operation command for terminating an application starting up the window, and

wherein executing the window operation command comprises sending the window operation command to the application.

16. The method of claim 10,

wherein the window operation screen is configured to generate the window operation command for displaying a menu screen indicating either resizing the window or terminating an application starting up the window,

wherein displaying the window operation screen comprises displaying the menu screen when the window operation screen generates the window operation command, based on the input through the touch screen, and

wherein executing the window operation command comprises sending a window operation command to the application, based on a selected item from the menu screen.

17. The method of claim 10, wherein displaying the window operation screen comprises hiding the window operation screen after displaying the window operation screen for a given time.

18. The method of claim 17, wherein displaying the window operation screen comprises hiding the window operation screen before displaying the window operation screen for the given time when receiving a window operation command for stopping the display of the window operation screen while the window operation screen is displayed.
