- Transmitting to a first customer an offer of the customer reward, said offer containing a predetermined numeric value representing the number of purchasers said first customer must refer in order to receive the reward;
Receiving from a plurality of individuals a corresponding plurality of data messages representing a corresponding plurality of purchases by such individuals;
For each first customer, determining the number of such plurality of individuals referred by the first customer;
Transmitting to the first network location a data message representing the reward.
