Abstract

An organic light-emitting display device including: a gate electrode formed on a substrate; a first insulating layer formed on the gate electrode; an active layer formed on the first insulating layer, facing the gate electrode; a second insulating layer formed on the first insulating layer, having first openings to expose the active layer; source/drain electrodes formed on the second insulating layer, so as to be connected to exposed portions of the active layer through the first openings; and a metal layer formed on the active layer and contacting the second insulating layer.

Claims

1. An organic light-emitting display device comprising:

a gate electrode formed on a substrate;

a first insulating layer formed on the gate electrode;

an active layer formed on the first insulating layer, facing the gate electrode;

a second insulating layer formed on the first insulating layer, having first openings to expose the active layer;

source/drain electrodes formed on the second insulating layer, connected to the active layer through the first openings of the second insulating layer; and

a metal layer formed on the active layer, contacting the second insulating layer.

2. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 1, wherein the metal layer is interposed between the active layer and the second insulating layer, and directly contacts a central portion of the active layer.

3. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 1, wherein the metal layer is formed on the second insulating layer and extends through a second opening formed in the second insulating layer, to directly contact a central portion of the active layer.

4. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 3, wherein the metal layer and the source/drain electrodes are coplanar.

5. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 1, wherein the active layer comprises an oxide semiconductor.

6. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 1, further comprising a buffer layer to planarize the substrate.

7. An organic light-emitting display device comprising:

a gate electrode formed on a substrate;

a first insulating layer formed on substrate, covering the gate electrode;

an active layer formed on the first insulating layer, facing the gate electrode;

a metal layer formed directly on the active layer,

a second insulating layer formed on the first insulating layer, the metal layer, and the active layer;

source/drain electrodes formed on the second insulating layer, extending through the second insulating layer to contact the active layer.

8. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 7, wherein the metal layer covers a channel region of the active layer, to prevent the infiltration of moisture and/or water into the channel region.

9. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 7, wherein the metal layer is T-shaped or trapezoidal, in cross-section.

10. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 7, wherein the metal layer and the source/drain electrodes are coplanar.
