Abstract

A method of showing content on a touch-sensitive display. The method includes showing content on a touch-sensitive display and detecting contact with the touch-sensitive display. The method further includes manipulating the content on the touch-sensitive display based on gestures performed on the touch-sensitive display.

Claims

1. A method of showing content on a touch-sensitive display comprising:

detecting contact at two points with the touch-sensitive display; and

changing the zoom of the content on the touch-sensitive display by making an arc-shaped gesture from each point of contact.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein changing the zoom of the content on the touch-sensitive display by making an arc-shaped gestured from each point of contact includes changing the zoom as the arc-shaped gestures are made.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein changing the zoom of the content on the touch-sensitive display by making an arc-shaped gestured from each point of contact includes changing the zoom after the arc-shaped gestures are made.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein changing the zoom of the content on the touch-sensitive display by making an arc-shaped gestured from each point of contact includes changing zoom level magnitude based on the length of the arc-shaped gestures.

5. A method of showing content on a touch-sensitive display comprising:

detecting contact at four points with the touch-sensitive display; and

capturing the content on the touch-sensitive display at a point in time by bringing two of the four points of contact together at the same time as bringing the other two points of contact together.

6. A method of showing content on a touch-sensitive display comprising:

detecting contact with the touch-sensitive display; and

moving the content continuously on the touch-sensitive display by making a gesture on the touch-sensitive display, the content moving on the touch-sensitive display until another contact is made with the touch-sensitive display.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein the content moves continuously on the touch-sensitive display in the same direction as the gesture.

8. A method of showing content on a touch-sensitive display comprising:

detecting a first contact with the touch-sensitive display;

moving the content on the touch-sensitive display by making a first gesture on the touch-sensitive display,

detecting a second contact with the touch-sensitive display; and

moving the content at an increased speed on the touch-sensitive display by making a second gesture on the touch-sensitive display.

9. The method of claim 8, wherein the first gesture and the second gesture are in the same direction on the touch-sensitive display, and wherein the content moves on the touch-sensitive display in the same direction as the first and second gestures.

10. A method of showing content on a touch-sensitive display comprising:

detecting contact with the touch-sensitive display; and

manipulating the content on the touch-sensitive display by making a criss-cross gesture on the touch-sensitive display.

11. The method of claim 10, wherein manipulating the content on the touch-sensitive display by making a criss-cross gesture includes closing a video displayed on the touch-sensitive display.

12. The method of claim 11, wherein closing a video displayed on the touch-sensitive display includes closing one of a plurality of thumbnail videos on the touch-sensitive display.

13. The method of claim 10, wherein manipulating the content on the touch-sensitive display by making a criss-cross gesture includes making the criss-cross gesture over a camera displayed on the touch sensitive display.

14. The method of claim 13, wherein making the criss-cross gesture over a camera displayed on the touch sensitive display includes turning off power supplied to the camera.

15. The method of claim 13, wherein making the criss-cross gesture over a camera displayed on the touch sensitive display includes closing a video that is displayed on the touch-sensitive display where the video is being captured by the camera.

16. A method of showing content on a touch-sensitive display comprising:

showing content on a touch-sensitive display, the content including a two dimensional map of an environment that includes assets;

selecting assets by contacting the assets displayed on the touch-sensitive display; and

displaying a window that includes information generated by each of the selected assets.

17. The method of claim 16, wherein displaying a window that includes information generated by each of the selected assets includes displaying a plurality of windows that includes information generated by each of the selected assets where each asset provides information to a separate window.

18. The method of claim 16, wherein selecting assets by contacting the assets displayed on the touch-sensitive display includes selecting an area on the touch-sensitive display that includes the assets by circling the area.

19. The method of claim 18, wherein selecting assets includes changing the size of the selected area on the touch-sensitive display that includes the assets.

20. The method of claim 19, wherein changing the size of the selected area on the touch-sensitive display that includes the assets includes contacting a displayed boundary of the selected area and manipulating the boundary to add or remove assets.
