Abstract

An ophthalmologic image display apparatus for displaying information about an eye includes an input unit configured to input a tomographic image of the eye, an acquisition unit configured to acquire diagnostic supporting information associated with positional information about the tomographic image of the eye, a processing unit configured to perform processing for assigning a voxel value to volume data constituting the tomographic image based on a reflection intensity value indicating the tomographic image and the diagnostic supporting information, and a display control unit configured to cause a display unit to display an image processed by the processing unit.

Claims

1. An ophthalmologic image display apparatus for displaying information about an eye, comprising:

an input unit configured to input a tomographic image of the eye;

an acquisition unit configured to acquire diagnostic supporting information associated with positional information about the tomographic image of the eye;

a processing unit configured to perform processing for assigning a voxel value to volume data constituting the tomographic image based on a reflection intensity value indicating the tomographic image and the diagnostic supporting information; and

a display control unit configured to cause a display unit to display an image processed by the processing unit.

2. The ophthalmologic image display apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the processing unit assigns at least any one of a color or an opacity to the voxel value based on the reflection intensity value indicating the tomographic image and the diagnostic supporting information.

3. The ophthalmologic image display apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the diagnostic supporting information indicates a difference between thicknesses of corresponding layers in tomographic images of the eye which are captured at different points in time, and

wherein the processing unit set different colors to a portion in which a layer thickness is increased and a portion in which a layer thickness is reduced.

4. The ophthalmologic image display apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the diagnostic supporting information indicates a difference between thicknesses of corresponding layers in tomographic images of the eye which are captured at different points in time, and

wherein the processing unit sets a larger opacity as a change in the layer thickness with the passage of time increases.

5. The ophthalmologic image display apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the diagnostic supporting information indicates a difference between thicknesses of corresponding layers in tomographic images of the eye which are captured at different points in time, and

wherein the processing unit uses the intensity value of the tomographic image as it is for a portion in which a change in the layer thickness with the passage of time is small, sets different colors to a portion in which a layer thickness is increased and a portion in which a layer thickness is reduced, and sets a larger opacity as the difference in the layer thickness increases.

6. The ophthalmologic image display apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the diagnostic supporting information indicates a difference between a standard layer thickness acquired from statistics information about a healthy eye and a layer thickness of the eye.

8. The ophthalmologic image display apparatus according to claim 3, wherein the corresponding layer in the tomographic image of the eye is a nerve fiber layer.

7. A method for displaying an ophthalmologic image indicating information about an eye, the method comprising:

acquiring diagnostic supporting information associated with positional information about a tomographic image of the eye;

performing, on the tomographic image, processing for determining a color and an opacity based on an intensity value of the tomographic image and the diagnostic supporting information; and

causing a display unit to display a processed image.

9. A computer-readable storage medium for storing a computer program for causing a computer to execute a method according to claim 7.
