Abstract

A method of transmitting and receiving control information in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method of receiving control information related to a specific point-to-multipoint service in a user equipment of a wireless communication system comprises receiving a notification message including indication information and an identifier identifying the point-to-multipoint service from a network, the indication information indicating at least one downlink channel related to the specific point-to-multipoint service among a plurality of downlink channels established for transmission of control information for at least one or more point-to-multipoint service, and receiving at least one downlink channel indicated by the indication information.

Claims

1. A method of receiving control information associated with a point-to-multipoint service at a user equipment in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

receiving a notification message including indication information and an identifier identifying the point-to-multipoint service from a network, the indication information indicating at least one downlink channel related to the specific point-to-multipoint service among a plurality of downlink channels established for transmission of control information for at least one or more point-to-multipoint service; and

receiving at least one downlink channel indicated by the indication information;

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of downlink channels are established within a single cell.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the downlink channel is a multicast control channel (MCCH) which is a logical channel.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the notification message is received on an L1/L2 control channel.

5. The method of claim 4, wherein the L1/L2 control channel is a MBMS notification indicator channel (MICH).

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the indication information includes a channel identifier identifying the at least one downlink channel, and allocation information of a downlink radio resource through which the at least one downlink channel is transmitted.

7. The method of claim 4, wherein the user equipment receives the L1/L2 control channel periodically.

8. The method of claim 3, wherein the plurality of downlink channels include at least one primary MCCH (P-MCCH) and at least one secondary MCCH (S-MCCH).

9. The method of claim 8, wherein the indication information indicates a specific P-MCCH.

10. The method of claim 8, wherein the indication information indicates a specific S-MCCH.

11. The method of claim 1, wherein the point-to-multipoint service is a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS).

12. A method of transmitting control information associated with a specific point-to-multipoint service at a network of a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

transmitting a notification message including indication information and an identifier identifying the point-to-multipoint service to at least one user equipment, the indication information indicating at least one downlink channel related to the specific point-to-multipoint service among a plurality of downlink channels established for transmission of control information for at least one or more point-to-multipoint service; and

transmitting control information for the point-to-multipoint service on the at least one downlink channel indicated by the indication information.

13. The method of claim 12, wherein the plurality of downlink channels are established within a single cell.

14. The method of claim 12, wherein the downlink channel is a multicast control channel (MCCH) which is a logical channel.

15. The method of claim 12, wherein the notification message is transmitted through an L1/L2 control channel.

16. The method of claim 15, wherein the L1/L2 control channel is a MBMS notification indicator channel (MICH).

17. The method of claim 12, wherein the indication information includes a channel identifier identifying the at least one downlink channel, and allocation information of a downlink radio resource through which the at least one downlink channel is transmitted.

18. The method of claim 15, wherein the network transmits the L1/L2 control channel periodically.

19. The method of claim 14, wherein the plurality of downlink channels include at least one primary MCCH (P-MCCH) and at least one secondary MCCH (S-MCCH).

20. The method of claim 19, wherein the indication information indicates a specific P-MCCH.

21. The method of claim 19, wherein the indication information indicates a specific S-MCCH.
