- an E-paper display;
a display controller connected to the E-paper display;
a SDRAM connected to the display controller, and storing display data of a group of sequential pages; and
a plurality of control buttons electrically connected to the display controller for responding to user input and generating an updating signal to the display controller to open a destination page;
wherein the display controller is configured for accessing the SDRAM to obtain the display data of the destination page upon receiving the updating signal, and driving the E-paper display to display the destination page.

An electronic book reader includes an E-paper display, a display controller, a SDRAM, and a group of control buttons. The display controller is connected to the E-paper display. The SDRAM is connected to the display controller, and stores a group of display data. The control buttons are electrically connected to the display controller for responding to user input and generating an updating signal to the display controller to open a destination page. The display controller is configured for accessing the SDRAM to obtain the display data of the destination page upon receiving the updating signal, and driving the E-paper display to display the destination page.

an E-paper display; a display controller connected to the E-paper display; a SDRAM connected to the display controller and configured for storing display data of a group of pages; at least one control button electrically connected to the display controller for responding to user input and generating an updating signal to the display controller to open a destination page; a CPU connected to the display controller; and a storage unit connected to the CPU, and storing a plurality of groups of display data; wherein the display controller is configured for accessing the SDRAM to obtain the display data of the destination page upon receiving the updating signal, and driving the E-paper display to display the destination page;
the display controller is configured for signaling the CPU to copy display data of a group of pages containing the destination page from the storage unit into the SDRAM via the display controller when the display data of the destination page is not in the SDRAM. - View Dependent Claims (8, 9, 10, 11)
