Abstract

In the operation input device 1, the strip-shaped touch sensor 20 is provided on the side surfaces 13, 14, 15, which are parallel with the Z axis, of the case 10 shaped like a rectangular solid. The normal line to the portion of the strip-shaped touch sensor 20 on the side surface 13 and the normal line to the portion thereof on the side surface 15 are in directions opposite from each other.

Claims

1. An operation input device comprising:

a case;

a planer display unit; and

a touch sensor configured to detect a touch position and provided at a position including at least two points at which normal lines to the touch sensor are in directions opposite from each other on a surface of the case perpendicular to an extending direction of the display unit.

2. The operation input device according to claim 1, wherein

the case is shaped like a rectangular solid, and

the touch sensor is provided on three of four side surfaces of the rectangular solid.

3. The operation input device according to claim 1, further comprising a display controller configured to control the display unit so that the display unit displays an image based on a result of touch position detection by the touch sensor.

4. The operation input device according to claim 3, wherein the display controller controls the display unit so that the display unit displays an image based on at least one of the touch position, a movement amount of the touch position, and a movement direction of the touch position that are detected by the touch sensor.

5. The operation input device according to claim 1, wherein the display unit is provided on the case.

6. The operation input device according to claim 3, wherein the display controller controls the display unit so that the display unit performs image display in which an object represented by an image is dragged, when at least two touch positions detected by the touch sensor move in a direction parallel with the extending direction of the display unit.

7. The operation input device according to claim 3, wherein the display controller controls the display unit so that the display unit performs image display in which an object represented by the image is grabbed, when at least two touch positions detected by the touch sensor move in a direction from the rear side to the front side of the display unit.

The operation input device according to claim 3, wherein the display controller controls the display unit so that the display unit performs image display in which an object represented by the image is pushed in, when at least two touch positions detected by the touch sensor move in a direction from the front side to the rear side of the display unit.

The operation input device according to claim 3, wherein the display controller controls the display unit so that the display unit performs image display in which an object represented by the image is twisted, when one of at least two touch positions detected by the touch sensor moves in a direction from the rear side to the front side of the display unit and the other thereof moves in a direction from the front side to the rear side of the display unit.

10. The operation input device according to claim 3, wherein the display controller controls the display unit so that the display unit displays an image in which an object represented by the image is pulled up, when at least two touch positions detected by the touch sensor move in a direction from the rear side to the front side of the display unit.

11. The operation input device according to claim 3, wherein the display controller controls the display unit so that the display unit displays an image in which an object represented by the image is pushed down, when at least two touch positions detected by the touch sensor move in a direction from the front side to the rear side of the display unit.
