Abstract
The present invention relates to cryopreserved cell cultures, methods for cryopreserving cells and methods for conducting cellular assays on such cells. 17. A method for conducting a cellular assay, said method comprising the steps of:

a) adding a medium containing adherent cells to a surface of a container to allow said cells to attach to said surface and form a cell culture; b) adding a cryopreservation medium; c) reducing the temperature of said medium to freeze said cell culture; d) storing the cell culture at a temperature of less than −
