Abstract
A gaming method enabling betters to bet on the incremental outcome of a race. A selected race is divided into a plurality of segments. Bets are accepted from betters who select numbers corresponding to a time or fraction thereof of a racer having the fastest elapsed time for each of the selected segments of the race. A winner is determined after the race is completed based on the actual race times of the racers through each of the selected segments of the race. If there is one or more winning betters the winning betters are paid an amount proportional to the total bet divided by the number of winning betters.
