Abstract

The embodiments herein relates to a method in a transceiver (110) for enabling traffic prioritizing in a wireless communication system (100). The transceiver (110) is configured to transmit traffic to a first communication node (101, 120). The transceiver (110) transmits a message to the first communication node (101, 120). The message comprises an indicator indicating that the transmitted traffic tolerates a delay, enabling traffic prioritizing in the wireless communication system (100).

Claims

1. A method in a transceiver for enabling traffic prioritizing in a wireless communication system, the transceiver is configured to transmit traffic to a first communication node, the method comprising:

transmitting a message to the first communication node, said message comprises an indicator indicating that the transmitted traffic tolerates a delay, enabling traffic prioritizing in the wireless communication system.

2. The method according to claim 1, further comprising

receiving a reply message from the first communication node in reply to said transmitted message, the reply message indicating retransmission of the transmitted message after a time period from the transmission of the transmitted message, the time period being indicated in the reply message.

3. The method according to claim 2, further comprising

retransmitting the transmitted message to the first communication node after the time period.

4. The method according to claim 1, wherein the transmitted traffic tolerates a delay which exceeds a limit, and wherein the time period is determined in an interval starting from the limit.

5. The method according to claim 1, wherein the indicator is predefined in the transceiver or obtained from a third communication node.

6. The method according to claim 1, wherein the transceiver is a user equipment and the first communication node is an eNode B, or wherein the transceiver is a user equipment and the first communication node is a mobility management node.

7. A method in a first communication node for enabling traffic prioritizing in a wireless communications system, the first communication node is configured to receive traffic from a transceiver, the method comprising:

receiving a message from the transceiver, said message comprises an indicator indicating that the received traffic tolerates a delay, enabling traffic prioritizing in the wireless communication system.

8. The method according to claim 7, further comprising:

transmitting a reply message to the transceiver in reply to said transmitted message, the reply message indicating retransmission of the transmitted message after a time period from the transmission of the transmitted message, said time period being indicated in the reply message.

9. The method according to claim 8, further comprising:

receiving a retransmission of the transmitted message from the transceiver after the time period.

10. The method according to claim 7, further comprising

transmitting the received message to a second communication node.

11. The method according to claim 7, further comprising

dropping the received message.

12. A transceiver for enabling traffic prioritizing a wireless communications system, the transceiver comprising:

a transmitting unit configured to

transmit traffic to a first communication node, and to

transmit a message to the first communication node, said message comprises an indicator indicating that the transmitted traffic tolerates a delay, enabling traffic prioritizing in the wireless communication system.

13. The transceiver according to claim 12, further comprising

a receiving unit configured to receive a reply message from the first communication node in reply to said transmitted message, the reply message indicating retransmission of the transmitted message after a time period from the transmission of the transmitted message, said time period being indicated in the reply message.

14. A first communication node for enabling traffic prioritizing in a wireless communication system, the first communication node is configured to receive traffic from a transceiver, the first communication node comprising:

a receiving unit configured to receive a message from the transceiver, said message comprises an indicator indicating that the received traffic tolerates a delay, enabling traffic prioritizing in the wireless communication system.

15. The first communication node according to claim 14, further comprising:

a transmitting unit configured to transmit a reply message to the transceiver in reply to said transmitted message, the reply message indicating retransmission of the transmitted message after a time period from the transmission of the transmitted message, said time period being indicated in the reply message.
