detecting the pre-sleep mode with the interface device;
comparing, using a processor, one or more of a predetermined number of consecutive analyte related levels for the pre-sleep time period to a predetermined target level; and
generating, using the processor, an alert when one or more of the predetermined number of consecutive analyte related levels deviates from the predetermined target level.
