1. A system for managing searchmercials, and associated Metadata, wherein:
- a searchmercial database having searchmercial video, audio, or media content specifically designed for searchmercials searches;
a searchmercials search engine for searching the searchmercial database, and producing a search results list including one or more entries representing searchmercials represented in text, image, audio, video, multimedia, and/or icon data;
display means to display the searchmercials;
each searchmercial further containing information describing the content of at least one call to action, where a call to action can be a landing page, or a click to call, or click to chat; and
means to selectively initiate a call to action;
whereby the user can search the system, and produce a list of search results having at least one searchmercial result containing information describing an associated call to action in order to determine if initiating the call to action or using an optional call to action is warranted without leaving the search results screen.

Abstract
A commercial search engine for searchmercials. The system manages and searches advertising media video and audio files and associating the media with one or more calls to action. The system contains Metadata utilized for various queries including search, channels of distribution and account information. The system uses a manually data entry interface or a custom retrieval system to selectively update media files and Metadata from Meta tags or feeds on a scheduled basis automatically without having to manually update this data in the system. The system spiders these custom Meta tags or feeds for new Metadata on a scheduled basis to automate the submission and programming of the searchmercials content over the search engine. The system provides videos tailored for search in the results list in order to better inform users as to the contents of a link URL. The system can also provide users with other call to action options such as click to call, literature, order forms, etc. The system can schedule searchmercials to target users by time of day, location, device, and other parameters to offer a call to action to different audiences.

11. A method searching a network using searchmercials to gather information, including the steps of:

providing Metadata describing a searchmercial having text data, image data, icon data, audio data, video data, and/or multimedia data and further including destination location information; the media containing information describing the content of the searchmercial; inputting information from the Metadata to a system; querying the system; using text data, image data, icon data, audio data, video data, and/or multimedia data types to represent searchmercials result entries; displaying, on a search results page, the text data, image data, icon data, audio data, video data, and/or multimedia data types representing result entries related to at least one searchmercial; and searching a database having multiple data types related to at least one searchmercial, producing a search results list having entries of one or more data types and selectably displaying those entries in the respective device; whereby the user can examine the searchmercial containing information describing the objective of the searchmercial in the search results list to determine if linking to a call to action such as a URL is warranted without leaving the search engine. - View Dependent Claims (12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20)
