Abstract

The present invention is directed to a transfer resistant and long wear composition containing: (a) at least one polyamine; (b) at least one oil-soluble polar modified polymer; (c) water; (d) at least one volatile solvent; (e) at least one non-volatile solvent capable of solubilizing the oil-soluble polar modified polymer; (e) at least one surfactant; and (f) at least one colorant.

Claims

1. An emulsion comprising:

(a) a reaction product of (i) at least one polyamine with (ii) an oil-soluble polar modified polymer;

(b) water;

(c) at least one volatile solvent other than water; and

(d) at least one non-volatile solvent capable of solubilizing the oil-soluble poloar modified polmer;

(e) at least one surfactant; and

(f) at least one colorant.

2. The emulsion of claim 1, wherein the polyamine is a branched polyethylene imine.

3. The emulsion of claim 1, wherein the emulsion is made using from 0.05 to 10% by weight, based on the weight of the composition, of the polyamine.

4. The emulsion of claim 1, wherein the emulsion is made using from 3 to 20% by weight, based on the weight of the composition, of the polar modified polymer.

5. The emulsion of claim 1, wherein water is present in an amount of from 0.5 to 50% by weight, based on the weight of the composition.

6. The emulsion of claim 1, wherein the non-volatile solvent is a non-volatile oil.

7. The emulsion of claim 1, wherein the non-volatile solvent is present in an amount of from 30 to about 80% by weight, based on the weight of the composition.

8. The emulsion of claim 1 wherein the composition does not contain silicone resins, silicone elastomers or gelling agents.

9. The emulsion of claim 1, wherein the surfactant is an oil-soluble surfactant.

10. The emulsion of claim 1, wherein the surfactant is a water-soluble surfactant.

11. A method of making-up a keratinous substrate comprising applying onto the substrate the emulsion of claim 1.

12. An emulsion comprising:

(a) a reaction product of (i) at least one polyamine with (ii) at least one oil-soluble polar modified polymer;

(b) water;

(c) at least one volatile solvent other than water;

(d) at least one non-volatile solvent capable of solubilizing the oil-soluble polar modified polymer; and

(e) at least one surfactant.

13. The emulsion of claim 12, wherein the polyamine is a branched polyethyleneimine.

14. The emulsion of claim 12, wherein the emulsion is made using from 0.05 to 10% by weight, based on the weight of the composition, of the polyamine.

15. The emulsion of claim 12, wherein the emulsion is made using from 3 to 20% by weight, based on the weight of the composition, of the polar modified polymer.

16. The emulsion of claim 12, wherein water is present in an amount of from 0.5 to 50% by weight, based on the weight of the composition.

17. The emulsion of claim 12, wherein the non-volatile solvent is present in an amount of from 30 to about 80% by weight, based on the weight of the composition.

18. The emulsion of claim 12, wherein the composition does not contain silicone resins, silicone elastomers or gelling agents.

19. The emulsion of claim 12, wherein the surfactant is an oil-soluble surfactant.

20. The emulsion of claim 12, wherein the surfactant is a water-soluble surfactant.
