- generating, by the rotation rate sensor, a sensor signal as a function of a rotation rate measured about a rotational axis;
comparing the sensor signal to at least one first threshold value; and
for controlling the electronic component, outputting an interrupt signal to the electronic component as a function of the comparison of the sensor signal and the at least one first threshold value.
