Abstract

An earphone comprises a trumpet unit, a hollow shield, and a guide sound tube: the shield is hollow to receive the trumpet, has a sound chamber and an opening, and the opening inclines an acute angle from the trumpet unit; the guide sound tube is disposed at the opening with an end communicating with the sound chamber and another end extending to the opening. The earphone is capable of presenting the high and low pitches completely and providing a better sound quality by way of the acute angle between the opening and the trumpet unit.

Claims

1. An earphone comprising:

a trumpet unit;

a hollow shield receiving the trumpet unit, and having a sound chamber and an opening, wherein the opening inclines an acute angle from the trumpet unit;

a guide sound tube is disposed at said opening with an end communicating with said sound chamber and another end extending to said opening.

2. The earphone as defined in claim 1, wherein said shield consists of an upper shield portion and a lower shield portion.

3. The earphone as defined in claim 2, wherein said upper shield portion has a circular shape, and said lower shield portion has an inverted triangle shape.

4. The earphone as defined in claim 3, wherein the sound chamber and the opening are located at the lower shield portion.

5. The earphone as defined in claim 4, wherein said trumpet unit is sandwiched between the upper and lower shield portions and communicates with the sound chamber.

6. The earphone as defined in claim 1, wherein the acute angle is between 60°

7. The earphone as defined in claim 6, wherein a horizontal distance and a vertical distance with respect to an axis between the upper and lower shield portions are provided between said trumpet unit and said opening.

8. The earphone as defined in claim 7, wherein said horizontal distance is 5 mm±

1 mm measured from a central position of the trumpet unit to a central vertex of the opening and said vertical distance is 8 mm±

1 mm measured from the central position to the central vertex as well.

9. The earphone as defined in claim 8, wherein an ear cushion is detachably disposed at the opening.

10. The earphone as defined in claim 9, wherein the ear cushion has an inclining angle with respect to the guide sound tube.

11. The earphone as defined in claim 10, wherein the ear cushion is made of silica gel or soft rubber.

12. The earphone as defined in claim 5, wherein the acute angle is between 60°

13. The earphone as defined in claim 12, wherein a horizontal distance and a vertical distance with respect to an axis between the upper and lower shield portions are provided between said trumpet unit and said opening respectively.

14. The earphone as defined in claim 13, wherein said horizontal distance is 5 mm±

1 mm measured from a central position of the trumpet unit to a central vertex of the opening and vertical distance is 8 mm±

1 mm measured from the central position to the central vertex as well.

15. The earphone as defined in claim 14, wherein an ear cushion is detachably disposed at the opening.

16. The earphone as defined in claim 15, wherein the ear cushion has an inclining angle with respect to the guide sound tube.

17. The earphone as defined in claim 16, wherein the ear cushion is made of silica gel or soft rubber.
